Chart of Accounts
The Chart of Accounts (COA) page provides users with a comprehensive list of all individual accounts used for recording financial transactions. It serves as a centralized hub for managing accounts and organizing financial data efficiently.

Chart of Accounts Table
Displays a list of accounts with the following details:
- Name: The name of the account (e.g., Long Term Liabilities, Cost of Sales).
- Type: The account type (e.g., LongTermLiabilities, CurrentAssets, CostOfGoodsSold).
- Debit: The account's debit balance.
- Credit: The account's credit balance.
How to Create Accounts
Access the Page: Navigate to the Create page under the Chart Of Account section.
Input Fields
- Name in Arabic: Provide the name of the chart of account in Arabic, if applicable.
- Name in English: Specify the name of the chart of account in English.
- Chart Of Account Category: Select the category this account belongs to (e.g., Current Assets, Liabilities, Expenses).
- Type: Choose the type of account from the dropdown menu (e.g., CurrentAssets).
How to Filter Accounts
Access the Page: Navigate to the Filter page under the Chart Of Account section.
Filter Options
- Name: Search for accounts based on their names.
- From/To: Specify the date range for transactions related to the accounts.
How to Manage Accounts
Download the Excel Template
- Click on Download Excel Template to download a copy of the current chart of accounts.
- Open the file in Excel to view or edit the accounts.
Upload the Excel Template
- Edit the downloaded Excel file as needed.
- Return to the page and click Upload Excel Template.
- Select the updated file from your computer and upload it to apply changes to the chart of accounts.
Navigating Through Entries
Pagination
Navigate through the accounts table using the pagination controls ( « ‹ 1 2 3 › » ). Each page displays up to 5 entries.
How to Delete Selected Accounts
- Check the boxes next to the accounts you wish to remove.
- Click Delete Selected and confirm the action to finalize the deletion.

- Q: What happens if I upload an incorrectly formatted template? A: The system will reject the file and prompt you to correct the format before re-uploading.
- Q: Can I restore deleted accounts? A: No, deleted accounts cannot be retrieved. Always double-check before confirming deletions.
- Q: How many accounts can I view at a time? A: The page displays 5 accounts per page by default. Use pagination to navigate through additional entries.
