The Trial Balance page provides a summarized report showing the financial balances of all ledger accounts at a particular point in time. This report helps users verify that the total debits equal the total credits, ensuring the accounts are balanced.

The table contains detailed financial information for each account, organized into the following columns:

  • Account: The name of the account (e.g., NET TAX PAYABLE, ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE).
  • Init Debit: The initial debit balance of the account.
  • Init Credit: The initial credit balance of the account.
  • Debit: The total debit amount recorded in the account during the period.
  • Credit: The total credit amount recorded in the account during the period.
  • Total Debit: The cumulative debit balance for the account (Init Debit + Debit).
  • Total Credit: The cumulative credit balance for the account (Init Credit + Credit).

2. Summary Totals

At the bottom of the table, the system displays:

  • Total Debit: The sum of all debit entries across accounts.
  • Total Credit: The sum of all credit entries across accounts.
  • This ensures the trial balance is accurate (i.e., Total Debit = Total Credit).

  1. Export Data: Click Export to Excel to download the trial balance as an Excel file.
